Computer tables start out as a basic work station for when all you need is table top area. The tables come with an under-shelf where books or supplies can be stored. You can add some simple features such as a pencil drawer or keyboard.   Clearance for keyboard is 2:1/2. Extra large keyboards may not fit this size. However, the standard keyboard should fit.   If a pencil drawer or keyboard is too wide a filler piece will be used. As an example, a 48" wide pencil drawer would not work well. In this instance, a filler piece would be inserted into the extra space that the pencil drawer does not cover. The filler piece would be the same height as the pencil drawer, but would not open. A 48" wide keyboard does work fine but not a 60" wide so the filler piece would be used.   All computer tables have a finished back.
