Available are vertical and lateral files. The vertical files can have two, three, or four drawers; while the lateral files can only have two.   Vertical files can be purchased as letter or letter legal units. The lateral files, however, come fully equipped to hold either.    The standard hardware on the drawers allows them to be pulled out approximately three quarters of the way out of the cabinet. If you have a lot of file folders in the drawers, adding the option of full extension hardware will allow the drawers to be pulled out all of the way, and add to the ease of access.   The two drawer lateral file comes standard with full extension hardware on the drawers.   All office line (OL) file cabinets have a finished back. The heavy band (HB) and lateral file cabinets do not.
